It’s a strong, lightweight, waterproof, and vapor-resistant base for wet areas. Shower Shield is an XPS foam panel manufactured with a waterproof proprietary blend of synthetic polymer mortar and an alkali-resistant fiber mesh. This gives it a highly rigid structure and exceptional bonding strength.
OSB (Oriented Strand Board)/ Plywood
OSB is made from wood strands or flakes that are bonded together using adhesives under heat and pressure. It can still absorb water if exposed to prolonged or excessive moisture. While it can withstand some exposure to moisture during the construction process, such as rain or humidity, prolonged exposure to water can cause OSB to swell, warp, or deteriorate. Greenboard/ Drywall
